Change Makers - Tata AutoComp Volunteers

Tata AutoComp's employee volunteering journey stands as a testament to the organisation's deep-rooted commitment to social responsibility. With a structured Volunteering Framework and active leadership participation, volunteering has evolved into a core component of Tata AutoComp's work culture.

Integrating Volunteering into Organisational Culture

The Volunteering Framework is designed to ensure meaningful employee engagement across all business units. A key differentiator lies in embedding volunteering from the very beginning of the employee lifecycle. New joiners are introduced to the organisation’s CSR initiatives during their induction, aligning them with Tata Values—especially the core value of “Responsibility.”

This structured approach has made Tata AutoComp’s employee volunteer group, Change Makers, the most vibrant and active internal community. Launched in September 2020, the group has grown to over 2500 volunteers and continues to expand its reach across functions and locations.

Leadership-Driven, Employee-Led

Leadership participation remains a cornerstone of Tata AutoComp’s volunteering success. In FY 2023 alone, more than 1000 volunteering hours were clocked by senior leaders, setting a clear example for others to follow. Their consistent involvement reinforces volunteering not as an extracurricular activity, but as a reflection of the company’s identity.

Dedicated volunteering committees at each location, along with active CSR SPOCs and Change Makers, drive the agenda forward. These internal champions facilitate project implementation, encourage team participation, and act as ambassadors within their respective communities.

Recognising and Rewarding Impact

To further encourage active participation, Tata AutoComp has implemented a structured rewards and recognition programme. Volunteers are acknowledged through monthly recognitions and annual honours during DISHA, Tata AutoComp’s Annual CSR Conclave. This platform brings together leaders, NGO partners, CSR representatives, and community stakeholders to align on the company’s broader social impact goals-including volunteering.

The Star Changemakers initiative also recognises outstanding contributions and promotes camaraderie among volunteers, helping to deepen engagement and drive sustained community involvement.

Inclusion Beyond the Workplace

Tata AutoComp recognises the value of extending volunteering to employees’ families, reinforcing the belief that social responsibility is a shared commitment. Family participation strengthens interpersonal connections and amplifies the impact of community outreach efforts. This inclusive approach aligns with the organisation’s vision of creating a more connected and socially responsible ecosystem.

One Tata AutoComp, One Purpose

A common volunteering programme across all business units helps nurture a unified organisational identity. Through digital and on-ground initiatives, Change Makers continue to deliver significant contributions to the communities they serve. Monthly meetings provide a forum for volunteers to review progress, share ideas, and plan future activities, sustaining momentum throughout the year.
We invite every Tata AutoComp employee to become a Change Maker. Join us in building a culture of empathy, purpose, and collective action—together, we can create lasting social impact.
